Make sure to allow the app access to GPS. You guessed it, Life360 uses GPS on your device to locate everyone in your circle. To create one, select Create New Map, then let the app locate you, and confirm. This map will display your current location, as well as those of your family members when they join your in-app circle. When you create a new account, the app will ask you to create a map. The signup on the mobile version is nearly the same, but you can add a profile picture as well (not necessary). You need to enter your first and last name, email, phone number, and password (as you can see in the picture below). If you prefer, you can use the web signup page for Life360. You can follow the on-screen instructions on your phone for setup. Note that Life360 works much better on smartphones than on other devices. On Android tablets and phones, you need to have Android 6.0 or any version above it.
The app works on iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone devices that run on iOS 11.0 or newer.

They are available for free on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The web version is slightly limited, and even the developers say that you should use the mobile app. Signing up for Life360 is very intuitive.
If you’re still new to Life360, we’ve included more information about the signup process below. Once you’ve created your Life360 account with the Google Voice number you’re free to monitor the activities of those in your circle without having a phone bill too. A Google Voice and Gmail account are something to keep handy anyways so following the steps above will benefit you beyond just using Life360. Although this may seem like a lot of work, it’s actually really simple.
